Z4 2007 E85 2.0i Passenger Wing and Headlamp damage advice

Hello all!

Loose handbrake - stopped on top of a slight decline, car rolled a few feet into my gate post.

Live in Gloucestershire. Any one now of some good bodyshops that can take a look? And some estimated costs? Z4 2007 E85 2.0i.

Essentially:
- Passenger wing/fender dent - full replacement most likely
- Front bumper damage - not as bad
- Headlamp and mountings - bent lamp and looks like mounting brackets snapped. Not sure on the housing itself

I also need to get the valvetronic motor replaced at some point to stop it going in and our of limp mode.

Trying to work out the total damage...

I'm pretty sure I read on here that BMW sell repair kits for the headlamp brackets, and one of the members on here who has broken a Z4 may be able to help out with a wing. Why not post a Wanted ad in the classified section?

Spot on-

The repair kits are sided and can be used to replace all 4 tabs on the lights. Last one I bought from Amazon or eBay was about £30

Bumper brackets are £32 direct from bmw

Going price for a good rust free wing would be 75-125 although it’s a knack to getting them unbolted

Thanks both, posted for parts on https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=152036

Do you have any links to the repair kit and bump brackets?

In all seriousness, you should contact a dent technician to see if that wing can be straightened out. The paint damage (and on the bumper) is not extensive once you have polished off the scuffs. You may be able to touch it up or get a SMART repairer to paint it for you and save quite a bit of money. The tricky bit will be to get the headlight to properly align with the bodywork again.

Regarding the wing, be patient and look for a second-hand one in silver. It may take a few months but one will pop up. It will save all sorts of problems with colour matching

Try umfaan on here for parts. He is in south wales and part of the south wales zedshed WhatsApp group.

Cheers. I tried a few dents technicians first, they didn't want to touch it and suggested bodyshop/replacement wing

Must have been lucky! sourced one off eBay just now

. That's great, saves you a lot of money. You might want to get some trim removal tools as the sill will need to come off. It is a good excuse to clean out all the muck that gathers there

Yes, that’s the bracket that anchors the bumper trim to the front wing. The old one is difficult to get off, you basically have to destroy it. You will also see a metal bracket in your second photo. That will be bent and will need replacing too.

Thanks for the feedback. Anyone got an estimate on hours of labour and average costs for this kind of work? Sourced a new wing for £120 off eBay.
