Z4 2.5si 2007 or 3.0se 2004?

An update -

Having looked further into the 3.0si's we decided to take a look at one last night and went on a good 10mile test drive.

It was a lovely engine, but didn't seem much different to the 3.0

We walked away as the general condition of it was awful.
It only had around 30k miles, but the wheels were all corroding, and there were lots of scratches on the boot, and a few faults with interior bits and bobs.
In comparison to the 2004 3.0 that has double the milage, it looked in much worse condition. Which is a shame.
It also wasn't a good colour and not my first choice of wheels.
It was only about £3k more expensive.

So having tried them both, we are now thinking that we would rather pay less, and get the car with the best condition for its age.
We do hardly any milage (about 3-4k per year), so don't see a need to spend a lot on a weekend fun car.

Hopefully picking it up tonight or this weekend!
Can't wait!

It's an AUC car and you really can tell the difference. Brand new brakes all round, and new tyres.
Just 1 previous owner who was so anal about things that he had it serviced every 3k miles.
Mint condition bodywork and interior and wheels, and seems fresh and new.
Nicely spec'd from factory, so even though it is a 3.0 SE, it has the electric sport seats, and front and rear sport bumpers. So seems to be the best of both worlds!

One question I do have - We drove the car with its top down and the factory wind deflector in place.
But the cabin was still blustery at slowish speeds (40mph)

In the Z3, we were able to go on motorways with the wind deflector and hardly feel a thing!

Is there a better option out there, or should I just get a hat? (I have long flowing hair which could be dangerous if it blows across my eyes!)

I can't wait to get my top down again. I have only been without the Z3 for 2 months, and I really couldn't wait much longer.
I feel sorry for the TTQS which is now up for sale after such a short time, but it doesn't come anywhere close to the quality and fun that the Z3 or the Z4's offer.

We are even looking to book a last minute easter break to somwhere in Europe to give it a good long drive.
