Z4 2.5 vs 325

Hi All

Quick question, I am looking for a performance induction kit for my 2.5, but no where seems to stock parts for the M54 engine... most of them I have found are for the 3.0 (not sure of engine code :? )

Is the 2.5 in the Z4 the same as the 2.5 in the 325 ??? Will the parts fit ?? There seems to be loads of mods for the 325 available... :headbang:

OR !

Does anyone know a UK based store to purchase parts from for this engine !!

Not sure about this but I spoke to BlueFlame the other day about an exhaust they list for the 3.0 only, I mailed them and they confirmed it's the same for the 2.5 also.
EDIT: sorry, point being, you may want to drop the manufacturer a line about the induction kit!

Have this lot bookmarked (for the anti-roll bars when the time comes)...

Current 325 (E90 +) is a 3.0 engine - nonsense BMW car coding.

it was my z4 blueflame used as a pattern to be able to make the exhaust. 8)
 
steveo - this was bothering me, so I just had a look on www.demon-tweeks.co.uk - the K&N 57i is available for the E85 2.5.

(Sorry about the slight hijack steveo... but bigcoose - what's the sound like on the BlueFlame? Deeper? Louder? Any drone across the rev range?)

the exhaust tone is alot deeper and a bit louder but not offensive.there seems to be a bit of a drone around 2000rpm but i have got used to it and no one that has been in my z with me has commented on it.the performance seems to have increased and throttle response is alot better.i have taken the z off the road thro winter but i will try and get some better sound and vid clips if i can. :driving:
