I haven't had any interest in a couple of weeks on Autotrader, Pistonheads etc. Have I overpriced the car? All advice welcome.

Cheers

Maybe marginally, as you have a couple of desirable options missing (no xenons, the wheels will put a fair few people off). Sports seats should attract people, though. I'd stick it out for a bit longer, then perhaps drop a couple of hundred quid, perhaps settling for a tad less. You're not a million miles away, though.

The big clue is that the cars above yours in the low-high list (mostly 04s, admittedly) have all been listed for 15+ days, showing they're not selling.

I hope you get as much as you can, but I would have to say IMO over-priced.
I sold my 2005/05 2.5i SE with 58k, in immaculate condition. 4 weeks ago for £10,000.

I live in Reading also, so no regional variation to factor in.

That wasn't too bad for me though as I only paid £10,000 for it, 16 months previously.

Obviously don't know what you paid for yours....Good luck tho!

Cheers guys. Maybe i'll drop it by £500 then.

Shiney28, can I ask what route you sold yours through? AutoTrader, e-bay etc?

NickyG,

I had it advertised on Autotrader & Pistonheads. The chap who bought it said it was the pistonheads advert he had seen.

I had it on both for £10,995 and took no phone calls or any enquiries for the first 7-10 days. Then the eventual buyer called and offered a straight £10k (bit cheeky!), so i asked for a few days to consider and obviously to see if I could attract any more interest. Still no more calls. To be honest I was always going to drop £500 to £10,500. It would of been kinda cool to make a bit of dough on a car you have had for 16 months!

But I was keen to get rid....so my search could start for the mighty M ! Therefore I did not want to lose the sale over £500, and as already said got back what I paid.

I was happy.....He was happy. Typical though, after the sale took about another 3 or 4 enquiries. (maybe coulda squeezed a bit more out of it if I waited). But I feel all in all right decision.

Cheers, dropped mine to 10.5k and sold it on Saturday. The car went tonight, very sad seeing it being driven off into the sunset in all it's glory. Now the search for a 330i begins!
