I would probably ditch the 2.0l and look at 2.5s or 3.0l theres less that goes wrong with them and they wont be much of a price difference now.
Have you done some good shopping around? Admiral is usually the best for younger people. Got my renewal through from admiral for the Z4M and 25 4ync 3 points £650.

+1 Bell is also a sister company so usually play that card too.
I'm in the midlands, I thought it was pretty reasonable tbh!
Would love the 2.5/3.0si but theres no chance of me getting insurance on them until i'm atleast 20/21 for underwriter reasons.
Just started my search if i'm honest, with admiral at the moment and the £1500 quote was through them, intend to check bell and elephant as you guys recommended, did that last year and worked a treat playing them off against eachother!

This is the exact problem i'm having, the TT is £500 less to insure, quicker and the spec is substantially different, not forgetting cheaper to buy also. Yes the running costs will be higher, but theres a lot for me to take into account, good to hear of an ex-225 owner who's loved his car though, it's things like this that help me decide, obviously the test-drive will be the ultimate decider!

It may be worth trying to get qoutes on other models as well when I got mine a 2.2 was going to cost more than the 2.5 I bought according to the compparison sites. SKY also say they give forum discount so worth a try.
Thanks Philip, will give them a call now and see how I get on!
