Being 'stiffed' - isn't that the dealer telling you that the 2.0 is not a popular engine option....... and perhaps difficult to trade on. Probably the reason your going for the 6 cylinder engine in the 2.3.

well maybe but i thought 11k was a bit stingy to say the least ! especialy as i have given that dealer 18k of deposits in the last 4 and a half years and now they want another 5k i would rather try and sell it my self ,rather than let them mark it up at around £16500-£17000 :( but as you rightly say if i cant move it worst case scenario i will use it as a part ex ,no harm in trying first though :P

Hey :o

Screw you and your 6 cylinders :) , you can't beat our fuel economy. The 2.0 was the only choice for me

What Car said
Yes, more power is always nice to have but, as sales of the larger capacity Z4 engines have shown, the vast majority of customers dont seem to view outright horsepower as a key selling point.

The 3.0 litre is such a popular engine option - it carries a huge depreciation penalty.

Danniboi69 my '56 plate in stunning Montego Blue 2.0i is available, it has 42,500 miles, cruise, aux-in, and 18" wheels with non-Runflats.
Looking for about 12k. I have to sell as my wife is pregnant and I need something a bit more practical, I've taken a load of photo's planning to post it up for sale this weekend. I'm based in Oxford.

These 4 pot guys are very touchy about their wee engines :fuelfire:

These 6 pot guys are such a bunch of "willy wavers." :poke:

That'll be something to do with having a nice big one to show off :tumbleweed:

the bigger the car, the smaller the willy ! is'nt that what they say . well i have a mini ! which is why i drive a Z4 ! :(

before you post a worthless with out a picture comment nosa dont think the mods would approve !

Let me get this straight...

Something that is more popular ..has a greater depreciation rate/penalty ?

Are you are having a laugh ? 8)

If you are right I am going to sell my Z4 and buy a Chryler Crossfire. As a car that is universally mocked for being rubbish I can expect a very low deprecation rate,..right ?
