Z4 2.0i M Sport Finance Deals

I'm based in South London Keith. I'm very tempted to take the trip up to the dealer when it arrives (and to see the pandas  ) and have a scenic few days driving back home.

I was under the impression that it has angel eyes already but some people have replaced them since the OEM ones are too 'yellow'. Apparently LUX and Alpine do a set (the latter more expensive)

I am just going to get the bulbs off ebay which I seen on a thread in here. Stupid question there is 2 bulbs per packet. Do I need a packet for each side?

Congrats on the purchase, another cracking deal! What's the other option in terms of getting the car? Car it all be done remotely and it gets delivered? Just asking as I'm based in London too

Euro collection is offered to US orders, can't see why not over here......

Me either. I was hoping the UK BMW dealers I asked were all misinformed.

US European Delivery customers get a discount too :)

I was told they can get someone from the dealership to drive it down for free (don't fancy that as I don't want it to be murdered on the motorway during the running in period before I can get my hands on it) or they can put it on the back of a transporter for £200-250. I can also pick it up from the dealership of course.

That might be a good excuse to have a lovely weekend in Edinburgh and have a long drive home through places such as the lake District etc. I haven't decided yet!

It's either collect it yourself, or put it on a transporter, as you say, you don't want some dealer monkey ragging it while running in!

If it's £200+ for the transporter, then I'd be inclined to go and get it myself. Flight etc probably not more money!

Did you sort this all over the phone? I live in Leicester and when I called up douglas park In Glasgow they said I had to go into the dealership and sign contacts etc.....my local BMW are not playing ball at all and can't get anywhere near these deals

I take it you got Urs from eastern bmw that Keithr Used?

So the question surely, is why the difference between dealers? Is it simply that some are just tighter than others, or do some have more weight with BMW and in turn get better deals themselves?

Aye Jonny he bought from Eastern, Susan is off tomorrow but she is back in on Friday if you want to give her a call!

Kevin, some dealers believe people wont travel to get the best deal. They sometimes have a target where they need a minimum amount of profit to conclude the deal however when they get to the end of the month then they decide to throw that to the wall in a bid to meet targets.

Some dealers are just c***s as well!

Cheers Keith. I'm still in 2 minds what to do, to go for a 25k fully loaded 2.3/30i or new.

I loves gadgets and in my spec so far is

19" alloys
Comfort access
Comfort pack
Sat nav
Heated seats
heated steering wheel

That's like 5k toys without trying :headbang:

After ordering the Zed on Sunday afternoon, I checked my dealers website on Monday morning and the offer has gone now. If your thinking of placing an order it might be better too do it sooner than later :)

Tim.

Wow thats a great car at that price.... Now i am tempted.... Do they have similar deals on say a 35i?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No, otherwise I'd be getting a new 35i ! :D Its a deal to push out the 20i mainly. There's a similar deal on contributions on the 28i but its at 7.5%apr and not the 20i's 4.9%

The apr is NOT set in stone, its negotiable mate trust me on that one. Sure you'll be hard pressed to get 4.9% on a bigger engine but they do drop down by a percentage of two if you tell them thats what you "need" to get your custom. Remember everything goes when it comes to buying a new car, just ask our long lost neighbours across the pond.

+1

Dealers mark up the APR and BMW Financial Service pays them a commission.

In the US, the markup is a capped at 0.96% APR for all BMW and MINI leases. The dealer may also markup the LAF (credit arrangement) fee by $200. 70% of the markup is paid to the dealer when the contract funds. BMW FS keeps the rest. Without too much effort I was able to get a dealer to split the markup with me. Zero US markup is hard to get. The 'finance guy' works for a small commission on finance markup, and does not get a salary. He usually won't sign off on zero markup finance unless you buy something else like tyre insurance.

UK I'm not sure of the exact numbers. If someone knows the details, please post. On the MINI we got the dealer to zero out the markup and we got the "buy" rate. With the Z4, we took the 4.9% offer. No idea if the dealer has any markup in that. With a higher APR there is room to deal. Money off on the car vs. APR discount, not sure which will save you more.

Mine was at 4.9% and the dealer showed me the commission screen and showed me they were getting nothing from the finance part of the deal.

John (JDM) - looks like a great spec and colour/leather combo - congrats.

I chatted to my dealer on Monday about their offer...

http://www.douglasparkglasgowbmw.co.uk/currentoffers/own.html?id=15120

but since they are not interested in taking my 23i as a trade-in, its a "no deal".

One thing to watch is that 4 years is quite a long time, but if you are just going to hand it back after that period, then I guess all would be fine. I reckon that probably is the only option since it won't have enough value to make any profit on it.

However, if you want to get out the agreement early (voluntary terminate it) you will at least need to have paid off half the amount of credit. Unfortunately the way the figures are stacked this will be at the end of the agreement.

Why wont they take your 23i as a trade in?

They valued it lower than the final payment due. Ironically webuyanycar offered £1300 more than the dealer. :?

They reckon they just won't be able to shift it, given the cheap deals on the 20i at the moment.

Probably won't buy another BMW I'm afraid to say.
