Z4 2.0i M Sport Finance Deals

I am exactly the same, the only reason I bought this car was due to the massive contributions from BMW on the car. I wouldn't have bought one otherwise. I am planning to chuck back the keys after this and buy a 5 series outright. Looking at the lease options and prices on other cars, this is an excellent deal.

Hi All,

Another new member here dragged kicking and screaming from babybmw.net by KeithJ!!!!

Well, not really kicking and screaming! Had my eye on a tasty Z4 at my local dealer for a while and had just about convinced myself it wasn't possible, then Keith posted up details of the finance offers...and that was it!

So I've ordered a new Z4. Alpine White & Black leather. Went mad on the spec, but got about £8.5k discount (did the deal over a week ago so cant remember exact figures).

Trading in my wife's 1'er (and she's gonna have my 2011 1'er). They're clearing the finance on hers and using the equity of £6k as deposit. On the base car that meant monthly's of £192!!!

However, I then added options! She currently pays £260 for the 1'er, so I added comfort pack, heated seats, lumbar, adaptive zenons and Pro speaker upgrade which came in at £260. Then I added sat nav and some other bits. Kept the payments at £260 and paying an extra deposit of about £3k.

4.9% over 48mths, includes service pack. I know the extra cash deposit will never be seen again, but thats purely paying for the toys!!!

Well i spoke to Douglas Park, you can add any options you want to the car.

Unfortunately i wont be dealing with them as they said i would have to goto the dealership and sort deal out....i live in leicester thats a hell of a round trip just to sign some documents :( Is that always the case with these deals, you have to go into the dealership? I thought some people do these deals over phone/internet?

Sounds like the Douglas Park salesman I spoke to was trying to con me then... Glad I didnt give them my business!

They were pretty good with me when I bought the 23i back in May 2009.

I'm heading round to see the sales guy at lunch time to see what sort of deal we can do. I'll update later.

I'm not necessarily judging the whole dealership, just the actions of the salesman I spoke to who it seems was telling porkies! Also, when I told him I wasnt buying the car from him, he hung up on me while I was speaking without even saying goodbye... Fair enough that he wouldn't want to waste time on someone who wasn't earning him commission but it's pretty rude.

Hope you have better luck with your sales guy.

Absolutely, that does sound pretty rude. If we can't strike a deal, I'll walk away - simples! :D

I chatted to my sales guy before Christmas and he did say it had been a pretty "strange" year for them. I think he meant lots of ups and downs, and not really consistent. Lets be honest, its hard times for everyone at the mo.

Kevin - Dont hate me, hate the deal! :D

I still laugh at when your wife caught you playing with the configurator on the PC and I have this image of you two have a heart to heart discussing your porn addiction, car porn addiction that is! before she gives in to you and lets you have what you want!

Douglas Park sound a bit like Peter Vardy in that sense. Sales men are rude and the guy I once went to look at a 125i at basically took the car out and revved the tits off it when it was cold in a bid to impress me when all he really did was made me realise this guy didnt care or know anything about cars.

:headbang: Wow. We should have gone to Scotland.

We signed the contract on ours. I need to stop looking at this thread :)

This thread has grown lots with a few points about the noise.

I have heard the engine in the showroom and it still sounds very good. It was enough to make me grin and I don't grin very often.

However, for all interested I found this video of an indepth tour of the new Z4 28i kicking about you tube. You will unfortunately get pissed off with the American sales mans accent however focus on the car and squeeze a stress ball.

TitanTim what's your name on BabyBMW?

Also Dave34z4, you got an amazing deal from Stratstone in Tyneside, I take it your 130i was an 8k deposit as well?

Jonny, I would maybe follow his deal if you can. Show it to the dealer and see what you can do...

BUTTTTTT

It's the highest deposit contribution I have seen any deal offer in their pages. I will PM you tomo when I have more time!

My advice is go to Eastern BMW as they done very well with me and I have been impressed with them. Avoid Peter Vardy, I had a nightmare with them. I will get a nice call when I clear my finance. Can't wait to tell them about. Y new toy that they never sold me!

Keith, I was chester on BabyBMW :)

Yeah my car acted as "customer deposit" but still managed to get £9891 dealer contribution. They didnt say the value of my car but other garages offered me £7500-8000

What I did was walk into the dealership and said
"I've seen the offer on bmw.co.uk ... impressed by the low apr % and the contribution ... but the 20i isnt the engine what I want.
Do me the same deal structure with the better 28i engine and you've got a deal mate"

So while the tuned engine cost me £4000 more and £1500+ options, I said take my car off me as my deposit . First 2 dealers tried to tell me I couldnt get the same 4.9% apr or that they would need to reduce!! the dealer contribution on the bigger engine.
Strathstone matched the deal I asked for nearly straight away, a simple YES OK SURE  sit down with me my friend

Then I asked for more contribution as I was spending more on a better spec car, he agreed and after 2 hours of chatting he ended up with the £9891 offer after I said I "needed" service + gap + insurance for tyres.
Played around with figures and said he could do over 3 instead of 4 years for an extra £1.12 per month - £300.12 over 36 month instead of £299 over 48

A steal of a deal, one of the best I've managed to get in my life, if only the morgage broker was as nice hehe

That is the 28i I understand - the vid is from BMW USA and they are only getting the 28i and not the 20i. Can't imagine the 20i sounding hugely different though.

I thought you were going for the F20 1 series! What happened Tim?

Hi Keith,

That was the plan :? however speccing up a 1.6 M Sport was coming out at 27K  with leather xenons etc I wasn't going to pay that for a 1.6. The current Z4 offer is a no brainer really, plus once I have the Z4 I may sell the Z3. My local dealer was having a 3 series launch weekend just gone and there was plenty of interest in the new F20 and I was the second customer on sunday to bag a Z4 under the offer.

Tim.

Oh aye, look the big man choosing the 1 series over the Z4 then not tell anyone you have have actually bought the Z4 haha

I demand you tell baby BMW with an apology haha
