Z3M footsteps

The Z3 coupe is a very nice ride - for someone who can't decide if he wants a sports car or a Subaru style wagon. And there's nothing wrong with Subaru wagons.

The Z3 in my opinion has a classy and classic sports car look. Although I've never driven one, they alway's catch my eye. As much as I enjoy the Z4, and I do think with the top down it's a great looking car, I think that the Z3 is more of an eye catcher.

I do think that the Z3 will be collectable, whether considered a classic will only be determined over time. In 30 or 40 years, there may not be any gas (petrol) to run it anyway.

If you call petrol (GAS) what do you call gas (???????????) :?

Gas is short for gasoline. Petrol is short for what, petroleum? Gasoline is made from petroleum, they are not the same thing. I don't believe a car will run on pure petroleum. So gas is a better word. YES! USA wins again! :P

I know all of the above. :!:
So r u telling me that gas you put in your car
and gas you cook with you use the same word (GAS)

I know you need to keep it simple in the US :poke:

Not to stray back to the original question but.... :-)
First, I wouldn't call the z3 a classic. For one, I think it's a bit ugly. But tht's just my personal opinion. Next, any car that just ended production in 2002 is far from close to becoming a classic.

On to the Z4 and my thoughts on it's classic potential. Well, I certainly think the Z4 will be a classic beauty. Here's why. It's extremely unique looking. For me, I compare it to a Corvette Stingray from the late 70's. Every time I see one, it turns my head...those bold curves and unique shape make it an instant eye catcher that I still remember from my childhood.

I think the Z4 is very simiar to this. Whether you like it or not, it's styling is a head-turner and makes a bold statement. So my thoughts are that in 30-40 years, when someone sees a mint z4 roll up, it'll still turn heads.

But only time wil tell for both....
