Z3 v Z4 prices - strange happenings !

Things seem a bit odd with Zed prices at the moment. Always liked the looks of the Z3 - almost bought one not so long ago ! Got a bit idle this afternoon and ended up looking at prices on Autotrader and Pistonheads of Z3's to compare how they stand up against our Zeds - prices for the lacklustre 1.9's are as you would expect down to £3-4K for fairly low mileage cars but the big engined 2.8 and 3.0 's are holding up well with one 3.0 2000 with 35000 miles priced at £9500 - other lowish mileage but pre 2000 big engined ones still around £6k+ . And even more surprising is the Z3M's that appear to be ( in some cases ) substantially more than a Z4m. I suppose the rarity factor is beginning to show and road tax on the M ?. Obviously a car is only worth what you can sell it for but hopefully this is an indication that our zeds ( at least big engined ones ) might follow the same way in the next few years.

Z4m and Alpinas probably, I doubt any others will. Those models won't be worth a lot for donkeys years yet either...

Alpinas seem to be bottoming out at high 11's low 12's at the moment. Hopefully people aren't buying Zeds as investments, but for the huge value for money fun that they are. I had half an eye on resale values and rarity when I bought my Alpina, but as long as nothing goes bang or I don't do something dumb and stuff it, I'm intending to keep it for the long term.

I bet u in 3/4 weeks they will still be there for sale
