Z3 into Z4

I have just bought a Z4 2.5si! I sold my 2.8 Z3 last summer after 5 years of ownership my wife and daughter wanted to use the garage as a gym, it never happened so I started looking at Z4 adverts. Unfortunately so it seems did everyone else! I wanted a 3.0 ideally Si but there were so many wanted adverts on the forum and cars for sale had multiple buyers. I saw a Montego blue with champagne int go last year for 6k on z org and I’m sure it appeared at a dealer recently at 9k and sold quickly. Anyway a dealer had a 2.5si pop up on eBay so I bid and bought it unseen. It’s not up to forum quality I would say but there are some pluses he did not tell me it had just had 4 new tyres sport max, and a new roof motor last Sep at £860. It is Carbon black and has Silverstone leather it also has hifi pack and auto xenon lights and a few other bits it has full BMW history apart from the last service. Bad bits front bumper needs painting which will be my first job. Discs are rusty so new discs and pads. The 108’s which are not too bad look to have been just painted in situ!!! They look okay from 20yards but I have glasses. The roof looks to have been painted or something horrible sprayed on it but no tears or rips. Anyway I’ve got one and I love it she drives really well very different to my 2.8 Z3. If anyone knows who could relocate my motor to the boot it would be greatly appreciated I am in Worthing. I’ve also added a couple of photos.

Lovely looking motor. Great interior too.
Just along the road from my old man in Rustington.

RBM in Hook, Hampshire, less than 90 minutes for you, has done many quality roof motor relocations for forum members.

Welcome to Z4 ownership.

Carbon Black looks great in the sun, and I love that interior - you've got Bi-Xenons too.

Mind you your Z3 looked pretty smart as well.

When you make the trip up to Ross at RBM he can do any other spanner work you might want.

I bought my 2.5si five years ago and have absolutely no regrets and don't plan on parting with it any time soon either. Enjoy :D

My first zed that started it all off. it was the most expensive car I'd ever bought at the time at £19k:

now on Z4 #6.

I actually took it to RBM yesterday to get the roof motor refurbed and relocated. it's about a 2 hour job. I took a train into Basingstoke to kill time as there isn't much in Hook, where RBM are located.

Congratulations! The 2.5si is a real peach and you’ve got a lovely example there, I like the interior.

Nice upgrade John! My Z4 adventures also started with a 2.5si, which definitely was en enjoyable drive. 8)

Seems to be a well specced example with most of the important bits (including HiFi and M seats). Indeed the 108s still look decent in the pictures.

Hello John and welcome. Stunning looking cars mate. Look forward to seeing more photos as you progress.

I too started with a Z3 two actually. Loved them but really enjoying the Z4 now.
