Picture 5 looks to show some rust.

They don't call them stealers for nothing.

Didn't spot that but yes your right, its corroding on the front sill and bubbling on the lower wing, they can start to go there and same at the rear as the sill collects mud etc, I took mine off years ago and rustproofed it all.

Surely nobody will pay anything like that for either of them?! :o

They have a few other Z3Ms in the mid 20s lol Prices are going up for good examples as they are getting scarcer although having seen the rust on the 3.0 litre I posted on thats pretty poor and theyre just playing on the low mileage for the asking price. If its rusting that bad on the sill and wing then its not been well cared for. Mines the same year 51 plate and although they hold together well you still need to look after them.

I sold my Z3M about 6 years ago for £14K. It was one of the last made and had covered 17k miles and at these current prices i don't half wish I still had it!

It would be worth at least 23K now :?

Great, I could have had so much fun driving it for a few more years and made 10k+ doing it :headbang:

Here is what Sytner paid for the car without even looking at it (yes it's the actual cheque). Plenty of comfortable profit even though they paid well over the odds given it's starting to rust badly...

Bleedin eck!!

I would have been quite chuffed to get 8.5K for a 15 year old rusty motor but 17K

You have to hand it to them if they realise that.

OMG!

They must be insane to think they will get that. Also have they never heard of prepping a car?!
I have known a quite a few folks who have worked in main dealers over the years, both in sales and service etc.
Friend of mine was telling me a few weeks ago a Vauxhall Dealer he works at sold a Fiat 500 with a defective gearbox to an unsuspecting woman. All they had done was clean the car hadn't checked it over at all. When the gearbox issue was pointed out to sales manager all he said was "it will be all right! we will see if she brings it back!" and they charge you an arm and a leg for this standard of service.

Suffice to say I would never buy a used car from one! Rather buy privately from a decent/honest seller or a good independent garage/specialist.
