Thought I'd try see how the P word adds interest to a post.

Had by Coupe for 2 two weeks now. Best MPG on aveage has been 22.4 mpg.

What's the best MPG you've got and what driving conditions was it :driving:
 
Read my lips........................you don't buy a Z for the economy. If you get loads of mpg's , you're driving it like a wuss.TBH, mine does 25 to 35 mpg depending how rich I'm feeling on the day. :D :driving:
 
I'm not too bothered as all my miles are pretty much expensed - because of the torque in every gear I tend to go to 5/6 gear pretty early on for low revs - is this burning fuel or should I stick with higher revs and lower gear??
 
22.4 on a three litre engine seems low to me. Even with spirited driving. Unless you're caning it absolutely everywhere.
 
Ok last 3.0 SE 2004 average was 32.4 and I do like to floor it now and again, newer 3.0SI 2007 is showing 35.4 mpg mix of motorway and A roads I average about 50 miles a day. Don't know how to get it as low as you mention unless you drive in London

As I've said above - this machine is thirsty at 22 mpg - and i'm not caning it!!

there are a few threads on mpg, have a search

had mine over 18 months and my calculated mpg is 28, recently i have been driving hardish, on a run i can get 35
 
Don't laugh :rofl: , but I reset the dials and I'm now getting around 30-33mpg. I can sleep better at night knowing that I'm paying less tax :thumbsup: and less to fund illegal immigrants on the welfare state :fuelfire:

I have an '06 Z4 3.0si that gets 28 pretty much all the time. Heavy foot.

Just be glad you don't have an //M
They are fast but I 've heard around 18 - 23 MPG

The Uk is a honey pot of welfare tourism. Unfortunately the good folk of this forum and other fund this because politicians don't have the bowels to do the correct thing :thumbsdown: when the SUN said the last person turn the lights out...well it's getting that way now
