About this time last year the oil price crash took it's toll on the company I was working for and I lost my job. The new job didn't pay as well and although I could have kept my lovely Imola red MR/// sense said that it had to go, fortunately it went to another forum member (Cracker) who has is loving the car and making some nice mods to it  .

I've spent the last several months driving round in a cheap but incredibly hateful Laguna automatic estate :headbang: . Well I'm back with the old company and although times are not as good as they were I felt I could afford to replace the steaming pile of French S%^t. So I managed to bag this...
:D :D :D

It's a Ruby Black 3.0si auto sport with 79k on the clock. I collected it today and it's in good condition with 4 new falken 453 and drives great, it's got a couple of minor things I need to address but nothing of any note. Sadly it's a Cat D and a bit of a flimper spec but I only paid £3850 for it on an evil bay auction so I'm a very happy bunny. Looking forward to a few hoons this summer now :driving:

More pics to follow when I've had a chance to give it a good clean and polish.

Sorry OP to go off subject.

Well Mr W my DD comp car is really a glorified van a real workhorse.
It works bloody hard for its living abused every day.
It's a Citroen C4 Grand Piccaso Exclusive Plus 7seater People Carrier. Over 50k in 18 months, has not missed a beat, diesel auto averages over 50mpg. A great motorway cruiser.
It has every extra you could want on a DD, low CC tax. After 30 years of driving a CC I look at my CC's and ask myself would I spend my own money on one of these and in this case I would.
It doesn't drive as sporty as my previous 2 Ford SMax's a bit softer round the bends I did over 200k in the 2 Fords over 6 years.
I would not have another. This does everything for me the Fords did but much more comfortable all the toys you'd want compared to the ford Flimper spec for similar money. 10mpg better return and I got a nice cheque back from the tax man.
I'll be having another when this lease is up.

Does it compare to German well it's not meant to. You'd be very lucky to find anything German in this spec for anything close to the price.
My German car is for my summer weekend fun, :D
would it work as my DD no.

Beaut car that even if it's a CAT D. Even better price.

As for French cars, for those who despise them, have a proper rag about in a Megane RS and you'll find that nothing can live with it in the same price bracket.

I've had both the RS Clio and RS Megane's and both are pure 'driver's' cars when they are given a bit of welly.

Glad it works for you mr G , even better you are leasing them so you get full warranty & not personally affected by the hellish depreciation they suffer

Isn't higher depreciation factored into the leasing value?

Yes that's right.
But it doesn't matter what make it is @ 3 years old with over 100k miles even with full service no expense spared they're shipped off to auction and sell for a fraction of list price.
Good buys if your in the taxi business.

Welcome back  Love Ruby Black. Looks like you've bagged yourself a bargain there.
