Z general tools for maintenance

hi guys, just wanted to ask if there was a thread/sticky that contained what general tools stuff people use for z maintenance,
i.e. jacks, axle stands, wrenches, torx drivers, plastic tools for ineterior panels etc?

I didn't even know that the z4mc didn't come with a jack until yesterday, although searching reveals loads of threads, anyway would like to start getting more hands on, and wondered if there was a general "z toolkit" thread?

I don't recall seeing anything like that though I could have easily missed it. In any case, sounds like you've got the general idea, it's all pretty much standard mechanics tools for most things. You'll need a torque wrench for most procedures, and for engine work a set of external torx sockets. There's some special tools that may be needed, but not worth procuring until you're sure you'll need them. And if you will not be using such a tool again, it may be worth paying someone else to do the job, or look into renting such a tool where possible.
