You've got to laugh...

I read this story this morning, but it was the placard that this protester was holding that made me chuckle.

I will take a guess that it is because there are 3 marks on the left and 4 on the right.
Make it make sense looks wrong until you put it into context.

Not really sure im with you here... someone with 12 gcses, 11 of which were A or above, got given a B, a C and two Ds at A level. You do have to laugh, that is a ridiculous reduction in grades.

With those gcses id be expecting perhaps A A B B not B C D D.

Also, really not sure what bra size has to do with anything.

I wonder if she changed schools or went to a sixth form college. Certainly a pretty messed up state of affairs.

Well indeed, I’m a Tory supporter, best of a bad bunch but hey....but this is a complete screw up, no wonder the students are pissed after all the work they’ve put in.

My particular point of amusement was the mess of words on the placard. "Make it make sense?" has no meaning.
If she meant to write "Does it make sense?" then she gets an immediate fail for English from me.

On the contrary I think the message is obvious no..? She’s saying make the farce of the guessed grades make sense which they obviously don’t.

I thought it was fine.

The decision doesn't make sense, so she's asking them to make it make sense.

A more ironic one I saw was this...can anyone spot the error?

Its instead of it's...?

Well, it's of course it's not having the the apostrophe in 'its' and the 'your' instead of 'you're', but the ginge on the right makes my brain hurt with that comment. What does it even mean?
Also, their handwriting is atrocious. But they probably even type out and inkjet-print a greeting card.

I wonder if the white card has been doctored by someone....surely no one over 8 writes that badly....? :?

Yup. Complaining of getting downgraded when you can't even use simple grammar and punctuation.

Don't think it was 'shopped as it came direct from a news website - but you never know.
