Has anybody had problems with YouTube lately? When I'm using it on my phone, computer, iPad it always runs really slow and unusable most of the time. I know it's not my Internet because I have 30mb broadband, a little look online and found a lot of people are experiencing this.
 
Running very slow tonight. I have given up on a couple of embedded ones on here...........
 
Virgin media have had backhaul issues with youtube recently. Its been discussed in the support forum a lot. I have 100mb with them and also a sky broadband which is only 12mb. The sky is much better for youtube at the moment.

They probably do shape to some degree Don't think this is the root cause as its so hit and miss. One minute 1080p clips load in an instant. The next a 240p wont load. From what i read they more or less admitted they had insufficient bandwith on their AS path to youtube. I dont think they would packet shape to the point you cant load a clip!
