I did that quite a lot in my 4x4 - including a few nights back at Cardiff Gate services which was closed with six inches of snow across about three acres of empty car park - what a blast, powersliding in 4WD is great fun, highly recommended!!! 
Only trouble is you get a build up of snow on the inside of the rim which throws the wheel balance out - I ended up having to pull off the motorway again and get down on my hands and knees in the feezing cold to clear packed snow from inside the cold dirty filthy wheel with my bare hands....that wasn't fun. :thumbsdown:
