First thing I did when I collected the i20N was ask the salesman to turn off the speed limit warning chime. As much as a pain it is I'm now thinking of turning it back on as nearly got caught last week by a safety camera van parked around a bend. I think me lifting off was just enough to kill the excessive speed to take me under the 10% over. It was a 30 but I reckon I was doing 36/37. I have a Saphe Mini in the car but these don't pick up safety camera vans. Haven't received a ticket as yet :?

Oh S**t Peter . Lucky there weren`t any when we did the NC500 . I suppose that will be next .Do you think they will let you off if you say you were still driving safely as you have done the advanced driving courses :D

Not only speeding but you seem to have trouble with lane discipline aswell Pete! And you being an 'advanced driver', eh?

I wonder if all the other vehicles' drivers in the picture, none of whom are speeding and maintaining lane discipline very well, are advanced drivers? :?

I understood that the limit for prosecution was 10% of the published limit + 2 or 3 mph

That’s incorrect

The senior police group did publish a suggested table of prosecution limits for adoption by police forces based primarily on the accuracy of the speed measurement system plus a factor

Not all forces adopt this advice

The numbers between the two ideas is not that different

If you look at the pictures B21 put up you can see he’s returning to the 3 rd lane from the 4 th having overtaken some cars in the 3 rd lane

All those thousands spent on extra ponies and you only got done doing 79?
Very poor effort.

As for the lane discipline I assume you still have an old paper licence and are following the instruction at the bottom that says ‘tear down the dotted line’.

Brutal..very brutal... :tumbleweed:

Here’s the ‘official’ advice to regional police authorities..dated 2015..they don’t have to adhere to it..

Suggest someone goes through the same camera at a true 78 mph and see what gives? :tumbleweed:
