That was the only thing I noticed when I went to Europe. Everything is SO SMALL! I tried explaining to one of the guys I was staying with what a Hummer(the car) was, and he didn't believe how big they were.

I wish I had a pic handy of my uncles truck, he has an F250 w/ a 6" lift and 37" tires! He can literally run up onto my Z with no problem.

You've been eating in the wrong places.. French food can be superb, they just don't want to serve it us! We have a great national dish in the UK too, it's called Indian.

We have bourbon, cajun food, soul food and the blues. You have fish and chips.

We have states the size of most countries in Europe.

We have idiots in office and idiots who put them there, but we get a chance every 4 years to correct those mistakes. You have at least a partial chance.

We have the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. Great for both content and language. You have the Magna Carta and the KJV of the bible (extraordinary example of Tudor English and still used today after 400 years!)

We have good. We have bad. Just like the rest of the world.
 
I'm suprised that the crew missed this difference. UK has full flavored beer? Not like the watered down stuff here.
I also enjoy the old stone buildings.

I think we have better driving roads though. I think that statement is not all that fair in some ways either. We have 30 times the land mass. hahaha We also have really great beaches.
 
IMZ4N, you're drinking the wrong beer if you have watered down US stuff. Micro brews rock!!! You, of course, are correct about those "mass market" clydesdale p!ss things. blech...

I'm always amazed when visiting Europe when I go into a church or other structure that is over 1000 years old. We don't have them over here.
 
I always find it funny the way this sort of thread brings out the defensive side of people.
