my car history is quite boring so far with the expection of my previous (still own it) car which IMO is one of the coolest (read; biggest waste of money) things i've done.

1993 Fiat Uno i.e Start 999cc L347 TVG - 17
1998 Fiat Marea 2.0 20v S495 APJ - RIP - 18
1992 Fiat Uno i.e Start 999cc - 18
1999 Fiat Marea 2.0 20v - 18 - this is where the fun started

over the 3 years i owned the Marea it underwent a few modifications, mainly the engine conversion - i fitted a 2.0 20v Turbo engine from a Coupe.

at present the car is running approx 250bhp, i have a number of mods i intended to fit to reach my 300bhp goal sat around the house but havent gotten any further as i decided to buy a Z4.

the Marea really is my pride and joy, its just so much fun to drive and so blisteringly fast, i think it will now be retired from road use and used purely for track driving.

But having just read its a LandCruiser underneath and you buggers could buy it new for only SIXTEEN THOUSAND of our worthless pounds (a TLC over here is >£40k!!!), I'm gently sobbing instead.....

No, no! Not a LandCruiser underneath. But I wish it was! It actually has the chasis and the detuned engine of the 4Runner. It's still worth the money spent. I just modified the suspension (lifted) and upgraded tires to All-terrains. It's a very basic SUV but quite rugged.
