For me, this thread is what i love about cars. Some of the machinery here is brilliant, some of them i've owned, some i'd love to own. Some are less exotic but still special in their own way. I have been lucky enough to have 26 cars since i started driving in 1997 and 7 motorbikes (6 Ducati) since 1999. I wish i had pictures of all of them, but i can certainly list them.

Well heres mine from the last 10 years:
Had company cars for years, so went down the two car route with a Westfield 1800 Sport bought from the factory in 1999, was one of their ex motor show cars. Sold it back to them around a year later.
Opted out of the Co Car scheme and bought the new bugeye Impreza UK300 limited edition with Prodrive Performance Pack and tarted it up a bit - looks cheesy now I know
One year later I was in the Subaru garage to buy a spare part, saw this STi, test drove it and bought it!
I saw the yellow RX8 at the motor show in 2002? and loved it. Always loved the RX7 and liked the idea of the rotary, so pre-ordered one as soon as I could. Had to wait almost a year for it, and during the time they reduced the spec from 250bhp to 230bhp. Great drive though, just thirsty and could do with more power. Had a Racing Beat exhaust fitted which sounded nice.
Moved out to the sticks and decided I needed a sensible car with AWD. Bought this Audi A4 TDi Quattro 180bhp. Took it to AMD and had it remapped to 210bhp. Nice enough car for cruising, looked good and was practical, but hard ride, numb steering and interfering traction control didn't make it much fun.
Got divorced, moved back to town, had a midlife crisis and bought the 350Z. GT4 limited edition with 300bhp. Kept it 2.5 years, the longest of any recent car and think it was probably the best car I have owned.
Saw the Z4MC up for sale locally. Just went for a test drive, loved it, bought it. Sold it last week for more than I paid for it
And finally the 123D I bought last week....

Moved on to a Fiat Punto 1.2 16v Sporting (LOL), kept for 5 years:
Swapped for a Vaux Astra 1.6 SXI - planned it as a stepping stone for 12 months but utterly fecking hated it so it was gone in less than 5 months...
Then it was my first (and still only) brand new car - Clio 172, kept for just under 3 years but electrics went t*ts up so I traded it just before warranty expired:

Got bored of the Civic (very one-dimensional, all about the engine) and the running costs so sold after 8 months, for a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI:

Got plans for full interior conversion (it's currently got a £50 IKEA futon and fake laminate vinyl flooring lol) and then finally sort out the outside with alloys/lowering/sidebars/colour-coding/etc. Changed the rear lights (clear indicator) and side indicators, and used a £10 pot of black Hammerite on the rusty steel wheels lol, but the interior's the priority:

***17 (1997) - 1985 E28 BMW 518i***- the folks imported this car from germany back in the day and we were the first in the town to have a BMW!!! Was for my brothers wedding - i got handed the keys for my driving test - after which my dad gave me the car! I was party way through my 2nd year of collage and for some reason I still managed to tax/insure/mot the car without issue back then!!
***19 (2000) - 1998 E36 BMW 318tds*** - the car was 2 years old and had done 113k miles - we picked it up for a song through an auction and hell was it a bargain and a good car:
***25 (2005) - 2001 E46 BMW 318ci*** - this car I bought as an ex company car via a mate who worked at the compnay. Again i managed to pick up a right bargain. Did minor mods then sold for ZED time!
*** 28 (2008) - 2006 E85 BMW Z4 2.5si sport*** - bought this car at the end of summer 2008 during the peak of credit crunch so again i managed to get a steal. It got stolen during the middle of 2009

But having just read its a LandCruiser underneath and you buggers could buy it new for only SIXTEEN THOUSAND of our worthless pounds (a TLC over here is >£40k!!!), I'm gently sobbing instead.....
