DPG, Cool, another Nova 1.3SR, nice one mate, loved mine

Me too, had so much fun in that. Brings back good memories.

Lost my virginity in the back of my mates Nova SR.
He wasn't present at the time however, nor did he know that occurred in his car.

Lets just say they weren't the most secure cars in the world

Snap! Yet another SR owner!

Mine was exactly the same right up until I stuck the poor thing on its roof!

Loved that car..... I think I still have the old SR grille badge as a memento.

Skoda-Estelle-120-L-LS-1979-Export_zpsjxsvtxfs.jpg
One of these beauties but in yellow complete with chrome bumpers, it was 9 years old when I got it but had only covered 10k miles, I had an eventful time in it and I classed it as my rear engine rear wheel drive 911!

In my ownership I managed to blow the engine up so had to fit a recon, I ran into the rearend of a Jag but continued driving it with my new rearranged front end! it eventually came to its end when I lost it on a bend in the wet and wrapped it around a lamppost.

After my many mishaps in it I decided to change my driving style and calm down but I had some really good memories of it although I was obviously a complete laughing stock with my friends for owning a Skoda at 17.

Mark 3 cortina xl , 2 ltr , already had some alloys on it , so I improved it by making a front spoiler out of some alloy roofing trim that I found laid in our builders yard and then installed a chrome wire mesh air filter , sounded epic , just like a m3 csl

Horrid burnt orange 1.1L Escort (mark III I think), engine out of a fiesta, nasty flimsy thing. The rear tail lights leaked so we found the spare tyre well was full of water until we siliconed up the light clusters... Manual choke, which I remember not knowing how to use properly and I conked out on a roundabout thinking I needed more choke when in fact the opposite was true...Not written off, however, passed won to my sister (who killed it!)

Hillman Avenger 1250 deluxe 1972, metallic turquise with a matching vinyl interior!! - Still, it was only £150 and I got to learn a lot about emergency get you home repairs (No money for RAC/AA back then), Followed by a series of Manta's (2 GTJ's and a GTE) which I at the time (Mid 80's) thought were great, Fancied a 3.0 Monza but the insurance companies flat refused any form of cover   .

Stu.

ooooh bluestreak tell me you didnt sell that 6 series! that's a keeper...

Unfortunately I did .. front wings full of rust, tank in need of replacement, I spent over £2k on welding the sills.. In the end I had to sell it to be able to afford the insurance on the zed :(

Was an awesome car though!

1974 BMW 2002tii Atlantik Blau, Light grey interior.
Bought it at the age of 19 in 1982 for the price of £825 !

MkII fiesta 1.3 ghia in light metallic blue, A385 MKL

My first freedom, some great times. Learning how to drive an averagely handling car created some interesting times. Decided not to write mine off, but managed to destroy my dads 4 week old car instead....luckily a company car & based on the damage, lucky I wasn't in mine when it happened!

Was my mums old car before she upgraded. Didn't realise that the ghia trim level made it 15% more on insurance or we might have played it differently.

My first car was a mk2 escort with the square head lights in a sick beige. V reg. bought it from my local car auction when I was 17.
Picture above is example and not my first car.

Mine was a 1968 MG Midget 1275, ODG 673G, bought it when I was 16 for £165, it was BRG and needed restoring, so £500 and a short while later it had 2 new square wheel arches and was Red inside and out, cracking little car :-)
