Your Favourite Place?

I went for a jog down the river near me (Weaver) last night.

My photography skills are non-existent but it is one of my favourite spots I've ever been. So calm and just a 'happy' place for me with good memories around there.

Am I sad or are there others with favourite places for whatever reason?

Went out Canoeing on the Tamar with my son & son in law, after work this evening. Beautiful clear blue sky. Hardly a breath of wind. We started here.

It's called Monditonham quay and it's one of the most peaceful places on the planet I know. Then we paddled about 5 miles to my daughters house, also on the bank of the Tamar :wink: and had our second Barbie of the week and that was indeed my favourite place. Right there right then, surrounded by my family, on a tranquil summers evening,looking out on the river & enjoying a burger. Very hard to top that one. 8)

Western Scottish Highlands - The Grey Corries yesterday, what you cannot experience from the photo is the absolute silence and stillness, almost as if you were standing in a photograph, the quality of the mountain air and the sweetness of the meltwater from the virgin snow.

Beautiful Geezah. Done a few decent Moorland walks since I got back from Scotland. Out there again tomorrow. The middle of Dartmoor's as peaceful and remote as anywhere you could wish for, but you got me with those views. 8)
