Your favourite mod/ best money spent on the car

Hi all,I haven't yet put up my first post,but have to reply on this one,for me it has to be the gearbox oil replaced with the Redline p
roduct.Transformed my low mileage ,but sounding like high mileage with worn input shaft rattle to super quiet,smooth running,slick changing box!Super happy now with my transformed motor!

Getting my scabby wheels powder coated improved my zeds looks no end

Fitting non-run flat Avon zz5's made it nicer to drive as well


Fitting a gaptech module was well worth doing to increase the user friendliness



Wrapping the door handles smartened up the interior :)



I've no plans to sell as I think the z4 suits me quite well

It was on 18" PSS when I bought it and set up close to the KW recommended settings:
- rebound 8 (clicks from fully closed) all round
- bump 6 front, 5 rear
- front -20mm, rear -10mm (from max KW V3 height, not stock)

The above felt good but there was a bit of "pogo-ing" on some roads with small undulations. Then I switched to CSLs - you know about these, of course. :)

Settings for lots of B road driving on 19" Vred Vortis:
- rebound 13 all round
- bump 10 front, 9 rear
- front and rear nearly at max height (somewhere between 355 and 360mm, hub-to-arch)

I believe the car was corner-weighted when the KWs were fitted, but I haven't had this done since. I've gone back to 11 rebound now and this still feels ok. I'll keep cranking it up until the ride starts to deteriorate again. The front of the car lifts a little more under hard acceleration, compared to the settings it had when I bought it, but this is an acceptable tradeoff for the additional compliance. I quite like the feeling of the car loading up a bit more, coming out of roundabouts etc.

Not really done many more mods to choose from - although I do like the exhaust, and the Gruppe-M (when I can hear it over the exhaust).

Does your B16/PSS10 suspension makes any noise up front when hitting small bumps?
