Ok so I must start a new thread everyday but still...

My car has the carver upgraded system. It sounds ok but atm my cousins Harmon Kardon in his E46 sounds far superior.
Had a mess around with the DSP adjustments but the truth is I haven't got a clue what Im doing.

Mainly listen to old R'n'B - say..Montell Jordan/Donnel Jones as an example.

Is there anyone out there with any settings to share?
Granted it will be a bit of a pain in the arse to take pics/list your settings but no harm in asking.

I usually leave it off but the concert setting sounds great (unless you're listening to the radio and the DJs have a bit of an echo). You can change the bass/treble settings easily to fine tune it a bit to your ears. Throw in some Santana and crank it up! :)

Come to think of it I haven't even tried the pre-set settings but I will give the concert one a go tomorrow.

The main reason I'd totally dismissed them is because IMO sound at a concert sounds crap :P

Ive actually got some Santana on a CD in the car too! 8)

I would just cycle through the settings. The jazz setting and concert settings were the two I liked the best. It's all about what sounds good to you.

I made a custom one, based on jazz but tweaked the LF range up a bit to get the subwoofers to contribute a bit more. Found them rather quiet until i did this (also +1 on bass/treble in the tone controls).

I actually have the concert setting switched on but toned down a bit, 'dance' tunes sounded superb the other night, playing them just to hear the sound from the Carver. I know this sounds obvious but the problem I've foud with it is that you have to crank it right up to get the best out of it. Its like the amp from Spinal tap except this volume goes to 20 instead of 11 i.e. you have to turn the volume control several times before there's decent sound!
