Hi All,

Currently looking for new insurance for my 2.5i roadster, completely standard. I'm 21 with 4 years NCB and completely clean licence etc... + pass plus.

Don't think Chris Knott will quote me? So far the cheapest are Admiral and Diamond at £950 to £1000. Anybody know anywhere else worth trying?

Hate being judged on age alone, location probably doesn't help although my postcode shouldn't be too bad!

You're not being judged on YOUR age alone, rather you peers, who statistically are more likley to crash, wreck or damage something, compared with other groups.

£950 doesn't sound too bad for a 2.5l sports car at 21. That said my 21 yr daughter with 4 yrs NCD and pass plus is £350 fully comp on a 1 series
 
Best quote now £860 with a company called Equity Redstar, anybody dealt with them?

I understand it is based on a demographic, it just get your back up a bit when you're a 21 year old with a responsible job etc... Let's face it I couldn't afford to buy or run a Zed if I was wreckless.

I'm with them, through Adrian flux. Interestingly pay the exact same premium and I was 25 when I insured with them. Haven't had any dealings with them although A.Flux were cowboys when they set the contract up - they quickly rectified the problem.
