a11y - give IAM Select a try they should at least match your lowest quote and I couldn't fault their claim handling last yeara11y said:Taz x said:i have 3 points on my licence from 4 years ago, other than that nothing, i am 46, so good question, why?
3 points shouldn't make much difference but unfortuantely they do. My wife, who I have insured as a second driver , picked up 3 points for speeding in the past 12 months.I'm just about to renew my insurance in the next couple of weeks so will be informing my insurer.
No idea how much they'll charge extra, but doing a quick search on confused.com showed an increase of £40-60 for adding those 3 points. Bit of a joke really as she's already been punished for the speeding offence via the points and £60 fine, and not I'm being punished through an increased premium! It still works out cheaper for me having her on the insurance though: insurers don't seem to like 31 year-old males driving 3-litre RWD cars...
