When opening the car with the remote key press it twice & the door window will go down half way then when in the car & you shut the door the window goes back up, really handy when trying to get in car in narrow parking bays :D

and on the sdrive, via head unit. Most of the previous dealer only charged options can be messed with per key

its in the manual, I commented on this a few posts ago, its a great idea, stops you hitting your rib cage on the window lol.

Do you need to "Press & hold" on the remote or just "blip" it?

I have 3.5sdrive with iDrive, but can't see when I need to change it in settings.

just press open button twice in quick succsession before opening door :D

Not quite...........
"Comfort opening" Press the "UP ARROW" button twice. When the door is opened, the window is lowered to make access easier.

Thought I was going mad, pressing the button and nothing happening............
Until and when you OPEN the door.
That's what you meant to say isn't it

I tried that one, but didn't work on my Z4. All that happened was the window dropped the usual inch or so when the handle was opened.

This works for me. TBH at first I didn't realise what was causing it and thought it was a fault or a setting needed changing somewhere. It still seems a bit temperamental and if you double blip open and then use the boot first it doesn't seem to work. I guess relocking and opening again would activate it again.

I thought it was random fault at first... but I find that when the car is already open, just double blip open and the window drops.
