Having already asked a few questions about my intended purchase, I guess that it's only fair that I introduce myself!
My name is Philip, I live in Hampshire and I have just acquired a 2006 Monaco Blue Z4M Roadster with 33k miles.
I'm no stranger to "M" ownership (I also have an E39 M5, and before that an E34 M5 - also had a string of Porsches in the past), but had never considered a soft-top car until a couple of years ago, when I bought a Mk2 1.8 MX-5. The MX-5 is a LOT of fun to drive, and has a great chassis, but I always missed the power of my other cars. I'm also doing quite a low mileage these days, so the Z4MR seemed to combine the best of the M5 and the MX-5 (though having taken the M5 out today, I'm not sure that I'm ready to let it go ...)
No photos yet - I drove the Z4MR home from Glasgow over the weekend, and it rained almost all the way, so sadly there were very few top-down miles. Once the weather gods smile on us again, I'll dig the camera out.
Looking forward to participating on here (it seems like a very helpful and friendly forum).
