hey all, just thought id share my excitement with my new wheels i received the other day.

all of you know that you cannot buy CSL rims without a M3 CSL vin number(or a friend with one ) but i managed to get some genuine rims from my local stealer(back order from Zee Germans) and had them fitted with new Goodyear F1 asymmetric tires this week.

this takes me from stock 225/45/18 255/40/18's to 245/35/19 and 275/30/19's

the grip is phenomenal, even though im still scrubbing in its ridiculous, best most noticeable upgrade i have ever done on a car!

+++ i think they suit the car MUCH more than the stock bloated rims...

anyone want a new set of //M double spokes ??

what do you lot think?

*EDIT oh and i also blacked out the chrome ring round the grills (hate that)

No need to say yet another with CSL's, that's the way the car should have looked like from the outset.

Car looks great, now for the sideskirts?

Agreed the best mod, have you found the handling - feel is a huge improvement. It just feels more planted?

Second pic Mike linked is awesome but I think that last one (despite not showing off the great new rims) is a winner for your new avatar! :D

;) i like the side skirts but as theres spraying involved and ive only had the car five minutes ill hang on for a bit before getting the side skirts, although unless its just me they dont look that different from stock?

and bugger....need to scrub the back boxes LOL my neighbors already think im weird for spending so long cleaning it, yesterday i heard one of the little buggers say to his mum "how come it takes him so long to clean his car? how long does dad take?" at this point i was going to scream out "Attention to detail!" but i decided against it.

oh and james ;) i best change it then and OT i was expecting a pasting from Mr Demon, maybe hes gone soft.

going to ring my local stealer about ordering a strut brace tomorrow...i think ive found a new money pitt:)

I still think its a travesty this car didn't come with these wheels as they just finish the car off.

The difference it makes to the looks is phenomenal.

Freakin love mine.

Looks great mate - lovely.

Order them sprayed up from the dealer then fit them yourself, easy! There was a how-to, can't remember if it was here or Zpost.

Very true. One thing though - they really suit the coupe but not so much the roaster IMHO.

Looks great!

Very interested to hear how you get on with the F1 Asymmetrics though, as I'm very tempted to give them a go.... whereabouts did you get them, and how much were they for a set?

Looks great, I fancy some as well but kind of wanted to stick with 18"s...which means replicas?

The side sills are subtle but make a big difference

Do they not need blending in for a decent colour match?

I got my sideskirts supplied and painted in Sapphire black and the match was perfect without blending. Fairly straightforward job to fit them yourself as stated.

I had mine painted by a shop and fit them to the car myself, and the match is perfect. The painters had some misgivings, so I took the car by after I was done and even they were pleased.

I can vouch for the Goodyears too (good to see zippster went with my suggested tyre sizes  ) - i've had them (+ CSL's) on my car for a couple of weeks now, and the improvement in grip is immense. The 19" wheels (and maybe the tyres too) give just a little bit more feel, too... An amazing upgrade.

Zippster's beaten me to getting photo's linked though... Mine have been uploaded for a while now, just haven't linked 'em yet

strut brace looks really good, have you noticed any difference?? You bought from a stealer. how much was it?
