Went surfing after work. :D

Lost the keys to my Mazda in the sea.

Borrowed phone of another surfer & called mrsG to rescue me. ETA 45mins

Started jogging on the spot to keep warm. :o

Mrs G got diverted into the middle of no where, by night time road works.

MrsG broke down.

MrsG called Rescue Truck

Mrs G called, Daughter G who drove to find MrsG in the middle of nowhere.

Daughter G took keys off MrsG and continued on to beach.

Daughter G delivered spare key to BuzyG at 00:45 in the morning, at other wise deserted beach. :D

Stopped jogging on the spot, having completed a half marathon. :)

(Note to self what a great family I have, not one grumpy word)
(Second note to self, never, ever, ever take key in water again, ever)

Ha ha poor you i have a great image of you running on the spot on the beach.

Glad your all sorted. If i was relying on my wife i would still be there and she would be lost!!

:o

Great that a sense of humour was maintained by all, but what a nightmare. My wife gets lost more than 200m off a well-trodden route, so I'd have been camping the night under the car, and well in the sh1t if I ever got home

Much better day today. :)

Took the afternoon off to sort stuff.

Got the Clio straight into my local indi. Sorted & back on the drive already, £152 for a new coil pack.

Mazda booked in to get another key programmed. £102. :)

lucky you had a spare :o glad to hear it all worked out ok in the end!

i remember my dad left a was of notes in his pocket whilst swimming in the sea, when we went on holiday to wales. cue frantically catching money floating in the sea and then drying them out in a tent

Night time surfing hope you had good lights.
Glad your sorted now.
Keys in waterproof bag inside wetsuit.
