Don't think you get what i meant Ste. As in expressing a preference for one daughter over the other.
Nosa and daughter no.2 might just take offence is what I meant.

 No offence taken, put a ring on her finger and relieve me of the burden and she is all yours

And thank you carol for fighting for my daughters honour.

A word of warning to you though Ste.
A conversation with Daughter Number 1 a few weeks ago.
Daughter arrives home from work in her bright yellow Seat Ibiza, walks in front door and says
"Dad, my car is pulling heavily to the right"

Me, "do you have a flat tyre?"

Daughter, using her best sarcastic tone.

"yeah, right dad, coz I did a car mechanics course eh! just exactly how am I supposed to know if my tyre is flat??

Daughter number 2 who is sitting on settee (who doesn't drive)
"oh, my, god, you really are going to have to rely on your looks to get you through life arn't you, I know your hair is only dyed blonde but do you also have to live up to the stereotype as well."

Daughter number 1
Get stuffed

   never a dull moment in my house

Nice pictures Nosa. Looks like you had a great 3rd trip to the US. Maine seems like a great place to get away to and reset from the rigours of life

Looks like an amazing trip. Great photos. My brother lives in California so I've been there a few times although so much more I want to see: Yosemite, Tahoe, Napa wine region. Have driven the pacific coast highway from San Fran to LA. Views were breathtaking. Grand Canyon is on the list. Not explored much of the east side except 5 days in NY alone when I went for a job interview. Boston and New England look good. The service in restaurants is great, cannot beat it. Find it a bit much when I go shopping though, like to be left alone more when browsing.

Never been to west coast, Def on the list though to do the Pacific highway, so jealous. Furthest out I have been was Vegas Baby. I love the East coast but like you said sooo much more to se in the states., Looking to do a ranch type holiday on Wyoming Or Montana in the next 2 - 3 years and live out my childhood dream of being a cowboy, Yeehaa.

The Pacific Coast Highway should be on everyone's bucket list. I rented a convertible mustang and had a hoot. Stopped to see the elephant seal colony and stayed in some great places

Can I change my previous answer to daughter number 2? :poke:

We did the Pacific coast highway a few years ago in a Chevrolet Camaro.
Can't believe how many times I was warned "that's a dangerous road" the reality is - it has been emasculated by the number of warning signs and the amount of double yellow lines.
It is quite scenic but you never get the chance to really enjoy it - legally that is! :driving:
