Yellow SI badge

I think in principle, it shouldn't be done. BUT - try it and see, the finished article might look good

Its your motor JDM and if it keeps you happy having little projects to add to your already lovely car then whats the harm, as others have said if you dont like it remove it! :driving:

I do think the one you've posted looks clearly like an Audi badge .
 
OMG!!! Don't, please don't, what next are you going to remove the bmw badge from the front and replace it with four circles?????? :thumbsdown:

Good call, I reckon yellow inserts could tie everything together nicely JDM.
 
Half of me thinks Aaargh-but half of me thinks congrats for thinking outside the box-look forward to seeing the result. :)
 
Takes you as far away from the de-badged look as you can get IMO

If you want badges after all just put the original badges back on...

Personally i think it may look ok... but doesnt it read IS not SI?

If you like them go for it.... end of the day its a badge; its reversible.. nothing lost except a bit of time, and the cost of them.

But imo some of these replies are pretty harsh!....Good thing we all have different tastes otherwise we would all be driving a 318d.
 
Been giving this some more thought over the past few days..

I havn't received the badges or vinyl I have ordered yet but I have been pondering over ideas.

The dialema I have is I don't really want to upset the symmetry and balance of the car when it is de-badged and putting a badge on the rear will do this. The other way is to have one either side of the car but where they come from the factory i.e on the wing I feel it looks a little cluttered with any badge there because of the BMW roundel.

So this got me thinking. How about one towards the rear of the car which might balance out. I have seen numerous cars with badges in this sort of area.

I have done a very quick mock-up on Paint.. yes Paint because im too thick to use Photoshop. What's the thoughts on this then?

I know its not the usual place for a badge but I'm thinking outside the box... as always :D

Hmmm, That was my original though but I think the panel gap will prevent this. :(

Haha... No I'm sorry your original comment cannot be revoked :P

I've bought the badges (they havn't arrived yet), but they have only cost me about £10.

Rest assured if they dont cut it they will be going in the bin, but for the sake of a few quid I can say that I have tried...and failed :)

The summer rims and tyres are tucked up for the autumn/winter and will be coming out to play again next spring so they aren't up for grabs sorry..
