yellow low oil pressure light on after 30 seconds off start

I have a 2007 z4 with 3.0i my yellow low oil pressure light comes on after 30 seconds of start up I have changed my sensor twice just to make sure I didn't get a bad one, still does it, I put a oil preasure gauge directly on it and I have all kinds of pressure 40 psi at normal operating temp does not lose pressure when rpms are increased pressure with go up. any thoughts? oil has just been changed also

But if the oil level check is a different sensor to the oil low level warning then it could be that giving a spurious signal.
 
Main reason I said oil level sensor is because I thought low pressure was associated with a red light.

Also, I just replaced my level sensor as it was constantly being highlighted in the DME error report in INPA. Mines a M54 rather than a N52 however.

Have you scanned for errors just to see if you can get any more detail?
