Hello

I know there is going to be a plethora of information if i had the time to search for it, but i was wondering if someone could recommend (ideally from experience) a reasonably priced diagnostic reader from ebay or amazon.

As per the subject header, the yellow light has come on. Fortunately the car is not in limp mode.

Thanking you in advance.

Autop D900 code reader from eBay. Plenty there on a 'buy it now' price for less than £25 including postage.

Yes I got one of these it told me - port air circuit relief, bank 2 air sensor and throttle position sensor faults car runs sweetly off and on.

I have a regular light coming on, annoyingly...

Exhaust Camshaft Sensor showing a reoccurring fault. I had the sensor changed about 4 weeks ago now and it was fine until the other day when it came on again... :(

The thing is there is nothing at all wrong with the car, according to the plug-in diag's everything is in order. Basically the fault is saying that the exhaust cam timing is out, and the car is fine. I wouldn't get very far if it was!!!

Has anyone ever heard about this problem?

Tom

I'm pretty sure thats the warning I got.

The 2 Fault codes registered were:

2A98 Crankshaft-inlet camshaft - NOT present
2A82 VANOS intake - NOT present

The car seems fine.

I brought mine with the round pin plug on the left by the last coil plug disconnected so I plugged it in and the yellow engine light came on , unplugged it and it goes off, with no loss of performance, I saw wondering if I could fix it or is it a minefield?
