Yellow coolant light

hi everyone

when i started the Z 2day (fully cooled) i got the coolant yellow light up for like 30 second and gone.. do i need a top up?
the Z is running a N52 and the light didnt come back after.

another question- the oil gauge shows one line down from fully up and says "ok". can/should i top some oil there? (oil server (first) is got 4000 more KM.)

Add coolent. Oil is ok. Better to be a bit down on oil than over-filled.

If you've not changed out the OEM stuff, use the OEM stuff. Don't mix types of antifreeze.

Whats the OEM stuff? Do I need to make a trip to the stealership?

Not sure what the OEM stuff is, but yeah just head to the dealer tell em you need to top it up and they should hook you up.

BMW, Jeep, whatever, don't mix types of antifreeze, they're not compatible. If you're using the dealer to service, they should top off with no problem.

Oh, and BMWs are quite addictive. Started with a 2003 325Ci, then the Z4 coupe and hubby decided he needed an X5.

Just spoke to dealer, he said to top-up with water if it is not too low
