Hi all recently after driving my car I stop turn off as I do I get a beep and the yellow coolant light is on it doesn’t do it after every drive only occasionally I’ve done the obvious and checked the coolant level but the float is on the max level so I don’t know, has anyone else had this issue in the past, seems to happen after pushing the car as apposed to just cruising don’t know if that should make a difference or not.

Matt.

Had this last year it was the bottom hose leaking but only a small amount have you tried a battery reset see if it clears the fault then keep an eye on the coolant level.

hi I have had a quick look for leaks but nothing to obvious how would I go about a battery reset ?
Cheers Matt.

Disconnect both leads leave for 30 mins reconnect both leads reset your windows and clock job done.

Thanks for the reply I will try this although the light isn't always showing hope its nothing too serious or expensive, don't plan on keeping the car for too much longer anyway

How long can the battery be disconnected before the car goes into "Transport mode" ?

Transport mode isn't activated like that. It's usually triggered by the battery volts falling from 12.4 to 12.3V over a defined period (1hr iirc). Just disconnecting the battery shouldn't cause transport mode. In any case, if the dealer had done their job properly transport mode would have been deleted on the PDI. Some dealers got lazy and just disabled it rather than deleted it as it's a bit quicker to do.
