Yay, got some M-Sport seats

Nice find :)

With a bit of work all of that mess will clean up no probs, you've got loads of time to do it too. Plenty of leather products recommended on Detailing World forum.

Not sure about them adding £500-750 to the value of the car though - perhaps to the right person. But I wouldn't have paid extra for sports seats even if I found them comfier than standard ones (I'm one of the weirdo's who finds the standard ones more comfortable )

Yep, just some elbow grease.

Wrt to value, I meant with good newly refurbed 107's + the M sports, rather than my tatty 108's...

Even if it's only £500 added, or even ease of resale, then the real cost to me may end up being zero once I sell up my old bits, just through doing DIY reconditioning/elbow grease :) (I'd prefer to just pay more but I'm a tight git, and like doing DIY ;) )

Yep, unfortunately (for me) I think M-Sport seats will help resale - most folk seem to favour them. I'm just glad I sat in some before doing an extensive search for my Z4 as I couldn't live with them. Just as well my Z4's a keeper :D

Good to see folk taking on things like this on more "premium" cars such as BMWs. It was common for folk to tackle stuff more often on previous owner's clubs sites, but then the bits involved are ususally worth far less!

I'm a tinkerer no matter what the value I think :)

Half the fun of owning a car for me is taking it in bits or improving it thoughtfully...

I didn't get much of a play in the M Sport seats or standard ones before buying, but I remember driving the car with M Sport seats and not grumbling after 30 mins behind the wheel, or even noticing a single issue with them. I just drove, hard at times, and I didn't even think about them...
They also look cool haha.

My partner doesn't really like the standard seats, she whinges they have no lumbar support, and since she is only slim I don't think the stock seats support her at all around the upper/mid body, the thinner M-sports might pinch her more and feel more supportive. If not, cushion time :D

I love the look of the M-Sport seats on my Z, but the M Sport seats in my 3-series give even more support. They have adjustable aside bolsters which you can 'pump up' - they really hold you in!
