Yay, another gaptech question

It was the same when the cables were crimped, it was soldered for that reason and still works in the same way

Need to pull it out and check the wiring

Mine has always worked intermittently. The one touch switch inside the car has never worked.

I’ve lifted the tray to check the wiring and there’s only 3 cables coming out of the module, I thought there was meant to be 5?? (Red black and blue wires)



I’d be happy to solder them in but not if the module has been incorrectly installed by the previous owner.

My Gaptech went bad and caused me much confusion as to why the roof worked intermittently.
I removed it and now just use the keyfob (long press) or door lock (long turn).

The car needs coding (not the key itself). I used NCS Expert to code it, but I suspect it would be easier to use Carly or similar.

Yes, simple with Carly. That is what I have on mine now but still looking for a gaptech though

I switched from the provided scotch locks to T-tap connectors. found this to be quite reliable plus, easy to disconnect in case you want to remove the module for troubleshooting purposes. Just make sure you have a good crimping tool for the Spade connectors which will be attached to the GAPtech wires.

Mine seems to have been connected with electrical tape! I could solder the wires in but as there only appears to be 3 wires coming out the module, might be wasting my time.
