i would like to do a hid conversion but worried about future probs ,
am i worrying about nothing or is there good reason to air caution

Depends how much you drive at night, I'd say. If you don't, why bother? It's expensive and serves little point. Plus, unless you do a really professional job, it could devalue the car - I, for one, would not want to buy a car that's been 'messed' with.

Good, though technically speaking, unless you have auto level lamps and washer gets it isn't strictly legal.

Im pretty sure hid conversion isnt illegal as yet, most likely fail an mot which in itself is illegal, but anyhoo.

Im all for HID conversions, i do it to every single one of my cars, cant say ive lost any value in them because of it either. I believe they are much safer at night, as you can see more without dazzling other drivers, but please remember if you do them yourself, make sure to check your headlight levels to make sure you wont blind oncomming vehicles, as most of the time when people whom have done the hid conversions, dont bother just checking and thats generally why they dazzle you . My two cents.

you're right. Retrofitting is perfectly legal provided washer gets and self level lamps.

Another thread that has been covered to death...

Anyhow...I have washer jets but no self levelers for my retro HIDS

It passed its MOT a few months ago
