Xenons

I know this has been covered in various ways in different threads, but i find it very complicated trying to make sence of it all...so could any one give me a list of my options on de-gingering pre facelift Xenons...PLEASE

You have 2 options:

1) Buy a set of clear pre-facelift lights. These are a direct fit, however you'll pay around £1400 from a dealer. Rarely they will come up for sale as a used buy, but still likely to set you back £600-700 for the pair due to being so rare.

2) Perform a cut and shut by replacing the inner orange hockey stick with clear hockey sticks. You could also tint your hockey sticks to hide the orange, as somebody has recently done on here.

Either way, you'll end up spending a few hundred £'s on sourcing the parts, as clear headlights aren't cheap, even when damaged.

Andrew.

Are the xenons worth keeping when you can get a clear set of halogens? Would these be a direct replacement?

If you buy a clear set of halogens, these will not be direct fit. The only direct fit option is a clear set of UK Pre-facelift Clear Xenons.

Even if you buy a set of facelift xenons, these are not a direct fit and require substantial re-wiring and coding.

I'm in the process of gathering parts for a cut and shut, just need the clear boomerang for the driver's side now.

Andrew.

still looking great even now  Had ballistic protectors added on the front to limit the stone chipping... definitely advisable

Eric is great, loads of contact and talked me through what he would be doing. The only downside on the whole piece was dealing with UK customs - bit annoyng having to pay import costs on my own headlights that were being 'fixed' and returned. Without their delay would have been a litlle over a week from start to finish.
