xenons question

I am looking at lots of ads for Z's at the mo, if I can see that the car is fitted with headlight washers does this mean that it definitely has xenons fitted?
Also have many people retro fitted xenons? I have done this to my last two motorbikes and it was quite an easy job.
Cheers,
Tom

Let's assume you mean proper OEM xenon units, not some sort of HID kit inside halogen light bodies.
The units are a direct swap but you need to reprogramme the LCM module and should also fit the self levelling kit on front and rear suspension (not to be confuese dwith the dip and raise cycle once lights are switched on.

Post facelift cannot be fitted in prefacelift without extensive wiring and programming work.

Hope this helps

The headlight washers were standard on all 3.0 cars.

I believe that all Z4's before 2006 had the halogens with the orange bits, unless retrofitted, so if the year of the car is 2006 or newer then they will have xenons?

Lucy - you took a bang to the head I see.....

OK so pre facelift were all amber indicators until sometime in 2005 when they switched just before facelift to clear indicators. Post facelift was a totally different light but all had clear indicators.

Xenon and halogen were available at anytime and any year unconnected with indicator colour, so you can't tell just by age or indicator colour.
