Last monday passanger side xenon light stop working i went to the mechanic tested everythig and said its headlight ballast unit under the headlight, ok i ordered new one from ebay left the car to mechanic on the weekend, on sunday night collected z4 and everything was fine they fit new unit and this morning started the car after 10 min light stop working again. Anybody have same problem? I fitted them error free led lights (side lights) and rear number plate ones, they was aswell from ebay error free, maybe they are causing problem? Will be good to know are anybody had same experience. Thanks.

more than likely that your bulb ios on its way out, but i would still consider its the ballast, unless the guy swapped them over from other side.
but you did say they all worked and after 10 mins died, so he may have not given it 10 mins of checking if you see what i mean.

where did you order the ballast from.
I know when i had to replace mine the one i got from ebay was a fake, when i opened the unit the insides certainly wasnt of good quality, when i asked the seller, i was given full refund and not asked to return the unit
also reason they fail is water , and some head lights can be full in bottom

if the light is condensated then it will drain water into the new unit and destroy it as well.
Looks like headlight had condensation inside and damaged the ballast unit. So we dry the headlight out fit new ballast silicone all around and after two days same problem again headlight got condessation , 
xenon not working , looks like i have to start looking for new headlights , maybe to get face lift one qoth clear indicators but on ebay is gew of them but left hand drive models. There is some aftermarket one but they non xenon and it shows not fit to oem xenon. Dont know what to do maybe remove fatory xenons and fit aftermarket non xenon ones, even if i find second hand with orange indicator xenon one i will deff face same problem with the headlight in future because its old. Any advise guys will be wery helpfull getting sick of it
