Xenon problems -any advice appreciated

Took the car out the other night and the lights were angled right down at the road, also they don't do the down then up levelling motion when you switch them on.

From reading the posts I'm guessing the likely cause is one the sensors on the suspension. Had a look at them both today and neither have any obvious signs of been broken.

Is there anyway of knowing which it is most likely to be, front or rear? Don't want to buy both if I can avoid it. Or is it likely to be a different fault altogether. It's an 04 roadster and both the lights stopped auto levelling at the same time.

Cheers fellas for any advice.

Are the lights loose? I had a similar issue with one of my lights doing that and saw that it would bounce around when going over bumps, somehow it had come out of its holder for the self levelling mechanism and was loose to the tough up and down. Angled the unit up as hard as i could and it popped back into place! Lucky move really!

Cant thing of anything it could really be if both went at the same time?
Even if the sensor snaps/breaks it should still try and self level. My front one snapped and still tried to self level.
Have you recently lowered your car at all?

If its both lights its prob the sensors as you said.

Other fault could be the motor.. but unlikely given its both of them.

i think the sensor is only attached to one side of the front and rear... have you tried disconnecting them and cleaning them?

Thanks for the replies.

I dont think either lights are loose but will check later.

Will try cleaning the sensors soon as I get chance, see if it makes a difference. Hopefully it might fix itself like yours Hunter. Failing all that looks like buying two new sensors fitting one see if it works, if not then the other.
