Xenon lights - Fully fitted - how much? Not cheap kit

Looking to replace, in my opinion "not very safe lights" for my zed. Don't seem very bright at all, and is quite scarey to drive in the dark, as lights seem so dull. Been looking into replacement with xenon, but needs to be fully fitted with casements etc, as ive heard that apparently the kits will not pass mot's, and will need to have the standard lights refitted to pass mot. Don't want to pay over 2 grand at dealership, as quoted. Seems a ridiculous amount to pay. Very annoying having such a great car, makes you wonder they were not fitted as standard in the first place. Not as if the car was a cheap option. Hope someone can give some information on a man that can? but don't charge as much. Thanx.

No you are not.

I replaced my Halogen bulbs with brighter bulbs and adjusted the lights to 'reach out further'.
I did the same thing on my previous 03 Z4 and could see just fine at night.... :driving:

Philips 80% brighter top of list at present £22 a pair delivered.
Do you have to have your headlights reprogrammed after fitting new bulbs as suggested? or is it ok to put bulbs straight in with no reprogramming? Have checked on ebay and there seems to be loads on there. Woohoo if it works.

They are standard bulbs, so no need to reprogramme, I havent ordered yet as I have no use, but will soon, as it's getting dark out.
