Well I had a bulb warning light come on and. A dead xenon so whipped my bumper off and took the light out, nice and easy.
Removed the igniter and all good, fitted new bulb and the bugger wouldn’t go in. Spent about an hour pissing about with no luck.
I noticed the internal mechanism wasn’t aligning inside with the external grooves. Tried to rotate with small screw driver and wasn’t budging.
Put my old bulb in, rotated and twisted and took it back out and it was aligned and the igniter fitted back in easy as pie.
So glad I had the bumper off, why they made these cars so flipping awkward to change out a bulb I don’t know.
So for anyone who might be struggling check the internal white groves are aligned.
Has anyone else had this issue?
