Xenon headlights blinding others...

I have recently bought my first Z4 and i'm loving as ive mentioned in my other topics.

I'm getting flashed a lot at night by oncoming motorists as if i've forgotten to dip my main beam despite them being on the dipped beam...
I have tried looking for the headlight adjuster but as they are self leveling Xenon's i dont seem to have one.
They do seem to be pointing quite high, is there a way of adjusting them downwards at all??

That was for non xenon cars though.

You may have an issue with the level sensors mounted on the suspension.

Also do the lights move down then up when you first switch them on?
 
The "self levelling" only sets the Xenon lights back to a reference position. You can set that position by turning the white adjusters next to the lights. Be aware that (1) they are plastic, so either use a screwdriver that fits perfectly or (preferably) a socket to adjust them, and (2) a small adjustment can make a big difference, so try 1/8 or 1/4 turns at a time.

If you are dazzling other drivers, then it does sound as if they may be adjusted too high.
 
You could call at a local MOT station or garage and get them to adjust with their beam setter, will cost you the price of a drink, goodluck
 
They do move upwards when I first switch them on... Yes.
I will read that link and try to sort them myself then, if I have trouble I'll take it to local garage thanks very much for all the advice!!
 
I have xenons and you can adjust them manually with the white Allen key screws on the top of the lights in the engine bay. The levelling sensor is for if you add weight to the rear of the car the headlights auto adjust.

Is it supposed to maintain a constant beam angle on the road on hills and undulations too?
