Xenon Headlamps Z4 2004

Dear All,

I recently changed one of the headlamps on my 2004 Z4. (When I bought her one was black inside and the other silver) The previous owner managed to break the lens so had it replaced.

I have one with a silver inside and one with a black inside for sale. The silver headlamp is the nearside whilst the black one is the offside. All working with xenon bulbs, main beam and side lamp bulbs and ballast unit. In good condition. I have put them on here as hopefully a fellow forum member will benefit. I paid £250 for a pair so I am just asking £85 each and £10 for postage as quite large. If no response in a few days will put on ebay. Please note all the lugs are intact with NO damage. Will upload a few pics of the other lamp shortly.

I have had a closer look at the black Xenon unit. This is the one I replaced and looks like it was previously sourced from a recycling place as has yellow crayon on it. See pics.

Will these fit OK onto a halogen-equipped car? Is it a direct swap, or something more complex?
 
I am no expert when it comes to the Z4 but I would think the light switch would need changing for a xenon setup and the car programming. I am sure someone will have the knowledge on this forum.

I'd be interested in the Black Drivers side headlight, as mine is condensed and scalded (don't ask... :headbang: ) but I don't have Xenons. Does anyone know how hard it would be to fit this headlight but swap it to Halogen?

It's doable but you would need to separate the lens from the case which can only be done by cutting up both sets. Not really worth it?

It is easier to just fit the xenons, I did this, there's a few things though: you need to reprogram the LCM, then they technically won't be legal as you won't have self levellers or washers fitted, and the adjusted wheel on your light switch won't work...
