Xenon head light problem.?

I've just changed my headlight bulb as I thought the old one had blown, only to find that the new one doesn't work either. I've tried the bulb from the other side which I know is working but still no joy.

Any ideas what could be the problem.??

it might be your Xenon Bulb Holder Starter Igniter Socket, i need one as well

Think I'll swap the parts over from my working light to see which is the offender.
If It was a fuse wouldn't the other side not be working also.?

Not sure they maybe fused separately :scratchhead:

EDIT: looks like they are on the same fuse!

My money is on a failed ballast ( 2nd pic) - bumper off and headlight off job

Ballast it was.... Full of bloody water.!!

- ensure you then fix the root cause

either the back cover was not on properly - letting in water OR there is a crack in your headlight letting in water

fail to do this and be ready to have the ballast fill with water again

The ballast is under the headlight so little to do with the back of the headlight being on or cracked headlight case. I suspect the access panel is loose and letting way too much water wash over the headlight or failing that the seal between ballast and base of headlight (which would be swapped out when the new ballast was fitted.
